The last two times I’ve headed to Smith’s Catering to grab a to-go lunch, they’ve been closed.
Does anyone know if this restaurant on South Green Street has closed permanently or if I’m just catching them on holidays?
I love their plate lunches, especially the grilled chicken breasts, green beans and mashed potatoes. My husband is a big fan of their banana pudding and sweet iced tea.

I called today to see what was on the menu at Smith’s and didn’t get an answer. At 11:50 a.m., either they are really busy or are closed if they let the phone keep ringing.
We’ve added it to the list on Biz Buzz of potential restaurants to close. Let us know if you hear of any others.

Yes Jimmy Smith has closed. He is now at Hacocks in Baldwyn or on 45 north. Not a public
food service.

I drive by there every morning on my way to work. This morning the sign out front said ‘opening soon’. Did he sell it to someone else or is he reopening?

During my drive past there this morning the sing now says that “Christopher’s” will be opening there soon.

I’m hearing that whoever used to own Gloster 205, I think that’s right, but not Guy and Martha Jenkins, has bought it and is cleaning it up and has brought a chef out of Memphis in and they will be re-opening…not sure if under the same name, same type menu, or what, but that’s the word….
